Chemo - Take 2 Continued
Aug. 21st, 2009 07:40 amThe school year has begun, and with it a whole new mess of challenges.
The second round of chemo is certainly going better. As long as this day 4 doesn't involve any more allergic reactions, we'll have an all around win. The only negative effect this time has been a rather persistent sense of queasiness and some fatigue. I can deal.
The first day of meetings was yesterday. I made it through all of them, including the meet and greet with parents and students for the last hour and a half, and even managed to go on a 20 minute walk with Mandie around the block when I got home (My idea... not my desire. lol).
I have one more full day of meetings, a weekend, and then it's kids, kids, kids. It's gonna take a lot of energy, but I'm hoping I'll be up to it. I should at least get a good first week, since I won't have another shot until September! Yay!
On top of everything else, our apartment is currently a boy free zone. Lots of decisions and messes and emotions there. Oddly enough, I'm feeling pretty good about it. I wouldn't be opposed to a positive outcome on my end, but I'm not expecting it... and that's okay. I've got more than enough to keep me occupied right now without adding new worries to the mix.
And now I'd better finish my quick breakfast and get to the school. I don't want to start a habit of being late already. lol.
(PS... what happened to our warm weather? ::shivers::)
